Upward trend persisted on the forward cotton seed oilcake market on Tuesday as buyers engaged in fresh purchasing on anticipation of fall in the supplies in the coming days, brokers said. The March vaida opened unchanged at Rs 405.40. During the day it gained rupee one to be day's highest at Rs 406.40. Later, it lost Rs 1.70 to be day's lowest at Rs 404.70 and market settled at Rs 406.00.

The May contract commenced with Rs 1.30 gain at Rs 415.60. In the process of trading it rose by rupee one to be day's highest at Rs 416.60. Later, it lost Rs 1.80 to be day's lowest at Rs 414.80 and closing was seen at Rs 416.10.
